We are very pleased to announce our latest piece of printing equipment; the Roland LEF-300, UV flatbed printer. This is the latest printer from Roland in it’s small format flatbed offering with an expanded print area of 13″ x 30″ with a maximum height of 4″. The LEF-300 uses LED light to cure the ink which means the temperature is low and you can print on all sorts of materials that were not possible before.
Examples of products you can print on include glass and acrylic, wood, leather, all types of metals and 3D objects like golf balls. And unlike traditional pad printing, the Roland machine easily prints in full colour with excellent digital clarity. It also prints white ink and gloss which allows you to create textured finishes. You can even print braille.
We are very excited to have this machine. It will be a perfect complement to our promotional product business, allowing us to fill orders for items without requiring you to purchase the minimum catalogue quantities. It will also allow us to supply full colour graphics without the additional costs normally incurred when you add extra colours.
On the sign side of our business we will now be able to print directly to the substrate on any sign smaller than 13″ x 30″. That means no chance that the vinyl can delaminate from the base material. We can also print decorative signage on special materials such as wood or stainless steel. From an environmental standpoint, because we print directly to the substrate, there is no need for printing on vinyl and all of the waste that is associated with that. The ink itself is eco-friendly and emits no VOC’s.
The possibilities are endless and we will be posting new projects on a regular basis. If you’ve got something in mind just give us a shout. For more info click here.
